~Be Thankful~

Happy Thanksgiving

WONDERFUL TEACHER

With a special gift for learning
and with a heart that deeply cares,
you add a lot of love
to everything you share.

And even though you mean a lot
you’ll never know how much,
for you helped to change the world
through every life you touched.

You sparked the creativity
in the students whom you taught,
and helped them strive for goals
that could not be bought.

You are such a special teacher
that no words can truly tell
however much you’re valued
for the work you do so well.

THE LITTLE PEOPLE WHO FOLLOW ME

A careful teacher I must be
For little people that follow me
I do not care to go away
For the fear they’ll go the self-same way

I cannot once escape their eye
What they see me do –they try
Like me they say they’re going to be
The little people that follow me

They think that I am big and fine
They believe in every word of mine
The base in me they must not see
The little people that follow me

I must remember as I go
Through sun and rain and winter snow
I’m building for the years to be
The little people that follow me

God’s Word

Ephesians 6:10-18  NKJV

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints--
